She crept behind him and hugged him before kissing his neck. While clutching her hands, he laughed, saying, “Do you like sharing my backyard?”
“The entire setting is amazing. When I met you at the disco, I didn’t imagine this would be your hobby.”
“Hobby is an understatement, as this forms my life’s purpose.”
“Beyond your career?”
“Sure, cultivation is my most creative activity.”
“Despite building a vast business?”
“That’s just sat in front of a computer. Okay, Santa Barbara generated an amazing backdrop, but here is an organized array of scents and textures apart from the hustle and bustle that provides shade to bring me pleasure without being scary.”
After glancing up through the cooling canopy of verdant vegetation, she moved to kiss his lips, before looking into his unseeing eyes.
